Sally R. Miller recently joined the firm after nearly two decades of practicing law with several prominent firms in the area.  She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, and land use.

Ms. Miller is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law where she was senior editor of Juris Magazine.  She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University of Ohio where she majored in American Studies.  Prior to entering the legal field, Ms. Miller was a prize-winning newspaper reporter and editor who covered such topics as community development, the courts, and healthcare.

Ms. Miller’s practice involves all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, premarital agreements, custody, and adoption. Her clients include various professionals with complex property and custody issues.  Additionally, Ms. Miller has experience in representing clients of various religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds whose domestic situations often require creative approaches to resolution both in and out of court.

Ms. Miller is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is co-chairman of the Family Law Section Rules Committee.  She has authored case updates for inclusion in continuing legal education publications and published in the PBA magazine, Family Lawyer.  Ms. Miller also lectures to community groups on such subjects as living wills, healthcare powers of attorney, and other family matters.  She served as an elected member of the Family Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association and is co-chair of the Opinion’s Committee which determines which judicial opinions will be published for the legal community.

Ms. Miller and her husband live on a farm in West Deer which they maintain as a natural habitat for native plants and wildlife.  She has served as a member and secretary of the West Deer Zoning Hearing Board and is a former trustee of B’nai Abraham Congregation in Butler. Ms. Miller is also a FELLOW of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
