Mr. Borkovic currently focuses his practice principally on business litigation and representing land owners and royalty interest owners in claims against oil and gas companies.  In recent years, Mr. Borkovic has recovered more than $45,000,000 from gas companies for land and royalty interest owners in Western Pennsylvania.

In all, Mr. Borkovic has successfully litigated over a billion dollars in antitrust claims, construction claims, securities claims, RICO claims, breaches of contract, commercial disputes, and class actions.  He has prosecuted and defended complex commercial claims in Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, Ohio, Massachusetts, California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska and the District of Columbia.  Those claims have involved jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and appeals.

Mr. Borkovic served as a law clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Weis, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (BS Mathematics, MS Physics) and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law.  Mr. Borkovic has taught Class Actions and Complex Litigation and Advanced Federal Civil Procedure at Duquesne University’s School of Law.

He is a member of the Bars of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fifth and District of Columbia Circuits.
