David A. Borkovic is Of Counsel.  His practice includes counseling and litigating securities, construction, financial, antitrust (and unfair competition), securities litigation, and commercial disputes, including class and derivative actions.

Mr. Borkovic received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.  He received his Juris Doctorate with honors from Duquesne University in 1975.

Mr. Borkovic served as a law clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Weis, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  He regularly lectures at Duquesne University School of Law about complex litigation, federal courts and procedure, and Pennsylvania civil procedure.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Borkovic was a partner at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart (currently K&L Gates) practicing in antitrust, construction and complex commercial litigation.  He thereafter joined a spin-off boutique law firm and later engaged in private practice, continuing to specialize in commercial litigation.

Among other matters, Mr. Borkovic has tried protracted antitrust claims, construction claims, contests for control and contractual disputes.  He has prosecuted and defended commercial claims throughout the United States, including California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

Mr. Borkovic is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
