C. Kurt Mulzet
A senior associate, Mr. Mulzet has worked in domestic relations for 34 years, including all aspects of divorce law, pre-nuptial and marriage settlement agreements, support, child custody, and equitable distribution. He was a founder of the prestigious Pittsburgh Chapter of the Matrimonial American Inns of Court, and was elected to serve as President from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Mulzet has also been a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
Because of his expertise, Mr. Mulzet has been asked by the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations to lecture on such domestic relations issues as drafting marriage settlement agreements, alimony, and equitable distribution. He has also contributed articles to The Lawyer’s Journal and The Pennsylvania Family Lawyer.
Mr. Mulzet received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981. In 1978, he earned an MA in history from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He obtained his B.S. degree, cum laude, from La Roche College in 1975. In 1996, La Roche College honored him with its College Service Award. La Roche also recognized him with its 1988 Alumni Achievement Award.
He was elected to membership in the Allegheny County Bar Association Judiciary Committee from 2009 to 2012. He has served on or chaired many committees of the Allegheny County Bar Association, including Family Law Opinions, Support Guidelines, Children’s Issues, Dispute Resolution, Professional Ethics, and Court Rules. Mr. Mulzet has also served on and chaired committees of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and was formerly a member of its House of Delegates.
